Slade
Voice
Seren Slade has been singing and performing professionally for the past twenty years. At 15 years of age Slade’s choir teacher strongly encouraged their parents to get them into vocal lessons so that they could really hone their gift. During Highschool Slade competed at state and national Opera competitions such as The Sunriver Music Festival and NATS.
They then attended, COCC and Western Oregon University studying Opera performance and microbiology. One year into their college career another opportunity came up that involved Slade moving to and recording in LA with producer Tim Miner. With two years of recording in a professional studio now under their belt and surviving the starving LA artist experience, Slade returned to their home of Bend Oregon and began building their musical career.
Slade has had over 20 bands of all genres, side projects, recording projects, and has now found a love of being in musical theater productions. They have been in production like, Next to Normal, Little Shop of Horrors, Sweeney Todd and most recently Spring Awakening, just to name a few. Their musical stylings range from Opera to heavy metal, rock, pop, musical theater, and pretty much everything else. Their versatility in vocal stylings makes them an effective teacher and a valuable asset in anyone’s musical and vocal journey.
