Beginning at age 4, Lauren has nearly 22 years of experience playing violin, and was a Suzuki student growing up in North Carolina. Currently, she plays with the Central Oregon Symphony, Chamber Orchestra, and Bend Opera. She recently moved to Redmond from Eugene, where she studied Music Education at the University of Oregon. Lauren taught elementary music from kindergarten to fifth grade for two years after graduating. Now, she spends her time teaching violin, viola, and cello; and performing around Central Oregon. Lauren loves working with students of all ages, and you will also find her substituting for music teachers at public schools in the area in her free time.
