Blake Lowrey-Evans
Acoustic and Electric Guitar, Piano, Ukulele
The only thing Blake enjoys more than playing and writing music, is sharing his love for music through teaching. With an emphasis on allowing each student to discover their own musical personality, Blake teaches electric and acoustic guitar, ukulele, and beginning piano. “There is so much to be learned through music,” he says. “It teaches us to be creative, to listen, to be patient, to set goals, to believe in ourselves, and how to work well with others.”
As a youth, Blake started taking private guitar lessons where he learned to play his favorite rock songs, and was introduced to the wonderful world of jazz. He went on to major in Music Education at San Francisco State University. Since then, he has played and performed in many different musical groups over the years, spanning many musical styles.
Blake has over 30 years of experience playing music, and has been teaching privately for the past 15 years. He is very excited to be at Cascade School of Music because it gives him the opportunity to be part of a talented community of musicians, while engaging people of all ages and skill levels in the thing he loves most!
